ENTRY RULES


Entrants must register via this website to particpate.

All entries should be submitted via this website by the deadline to be considered.

A maximum of three entries per person is allowed.

Entries that do not meet the briefs specifications outlined in the briefing document will not be considered.

By submitting an entry the entrant confirms that they have thoroughly read and agree with the ‘Terms and Conditions’ and understand these will apply.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. By submitting an entry the entrant confirms that they have read and agree with following the ‘Terms and Conditions’ and understand these now apply.

2. Entrants confirm that their entry (or entries) is (are) original and are solely the work(s) and property of the entrant.

3. Open only to design school students and individuals, excluding design professionals who have been in the business for more than 3 years. Excluding employees of Promoter and their immediate families, as well as Promoter's agents or anyone professionally connected with this promotion.

4. Entrants confirm that to their best knowledge they have supplied accurate details during registration and entry.

5. As a condition of entry, the entrant grants Savoir Beds and its associated PR agencies permission to reproduce the works in print and in digital format and attests that they have the right to grant this permission. The winner and runner up agree to the use of their name, photograph and design in publicity material and activities on and off line.

6. Savoir Beds will not be held liable for any action or claim arising out of the reproduction of entered designs.

7. Savoir Beds accept no responsibility or liability for:
7a. the loss or damage of material submitted.
7b. System or voting failures on Facebook and our websites

8. Savoir Beds may at their discretion amend or cancel the competition and its prize during any stage if the unlikely need should arise.

9. Savoir reserve the right to amend the Judges results if they feel necessary and are not obliged to explain their decision.

10.The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

VOTING AND THE PRIZE

11. STAGE 1: Public vote on www.savoirbeds.co.uk. The designs with the most votes will be short listed along with a selection from Savoir Beds of the strongest designs.

12. STAGE 2: Each participating country (to be confirmed) will select a winner for their country.

13. STAGE 3: The judges will select an overall international winner and runners up. These headboards will be made and unveiled at a London showroom event in the autumn.

13a. The voting process may be amended in the instance that the majority of the entries are from the UK, with little participation from other countries. This is to ensure the strongest designs are put before the judges, Savoir reserve the right to combine national and international entries into one category. The judges will select one winner and three runners up - the results will not be disclosed until the Unveiling Event..)

14. The judges selected headboards will be made and unveiled at a participating showroom event in the autumn - London confirmed, international showrooms subject to entrant numbers. Shortlisted entrants will be notified, and are responsible for their own travel arrangements to and from the ‘Winners Unveiling’ event to find out the competition placings.

15. Attendance is not obligatory but advised. For those unable to attend, once the event has taken place Savoir Beds will endeavour to notify all participants of the competition winner and runners up in due course.

16. OVERALL INTERNATIONAL WINNERS PRIZE: The winners prize is to be a luxury weekend courtesy of Savoir Beds in a design capital. Savoir Beds will meet accommodation expenses for two nights.

17. WINNER AND RUNNERS UP RECEIVE: The winner and runners up will also be given their headboards that have been made by Savoir Beds subject to the following terms:

17a. In order to give the event and its entries maximum exposure Savoir Beds reserves the right to keep the headboards made until September 2014. From this date onwards they will made available at the nearest showroom to the contestant for collection, available free of charge to the contestants as part of their prize.

17b. Any headboards not collected within one month of notification of delivery to the showroom may be
disposed of.

18. Savoir Beds will either pay a 30% commission or give a 30% trade discount on any orders sold though the entrant for their entered design. Savoir Beds would have the non-exclusive rights to commercially produce any entered design without paying a royalty. Designers would be free to enter into agreements with other manufacturers to produce the design non-exclusively.
